Precision self-centering pilot drills are essential for pilot holes in hinges, handles, drawer slides and other parts. The cone surrounding the drill ensures that the pilot hole is centered in relation to the countersink of the mounting hole to drill a pilot hole

The 135-degree beveled edge of the drill head speeds up the drilling of hinges after the hinge holes have been drilled in place. The guide surrounding the drill bit is pushed by a spring to keep it in contact with the countersink portion of the drilled location.
