If scarification is neglected, weeds and moss can take over, and the lush lawn will become increasingly thin. However, scarifying can be time-consuming with the wrong equipment, as it requires scarifying both lengthwise and crosswise.
This is where the Parkside PBV 4200 A1 petrol scarifier, with its 40 cm working width, is an effective helper. Its powerful 212 cc, 4300 W 4-stroke petrol engine and 18-blade roller cut through thatch and moss, removing them along with their roots.
To protect the grass roots, the PBV 4200 A1 features six adjustable working heights, ranging from -15 to +5 mm, allowing the working height to be optimally adapted to the soil conditions. This means that during scarification, the soil is only cut a few millimeters, while old grass clippings, moss, and weeds are removed. This allows water, nutrients, light, and air to reach the grass roots more effectively, leaving the grass stronger, greener, and richer.
The PBV 4200 A1 scarifier's 40 cm working width makes it easier to maintain medium-sized gardens, as each pass allows for the simultaneous scarification of a larger area than with a smaller model.
The device's large 35-liter collection box eliminates the need for tedious collection of moss, and the work is significantly faster.
